Meet Justyce: Certified Therapy Dog
Justyce is a Shichon (half Shih Tzu and half Bichon Frise) and is named after one of the main characters in Nic Stone’s Dear Martin and Dear Justyce books.
What does a therapy dog do?
Animal Assisted Interventions (AAI), including Animal Assisted Therapy (AAT), Animal Assisted Education (AAE), and Animal Assisted Activities (AAA) are integrative modalities that utilize specially trained therapy animals and handlers to provide a range of potential benefits to humans.
The potential benefits include improvement in human physical, social, emotional, and/or cognitive function and motivational, educational, and/or recreational opportunities that enhance quality of life.
